Are unripened blueberries safe?

We have a few blueberry bushes in the yard. Whenever I let the pullets out of their run they make a beeline straight to the blueberries. They are gobbling up all the green berries they can reach. Thankfully the bushes are tall enough, we may still have some to harvest ourselves once they are ripe. Obviously blueberries are edible, but would a chicken eat too many green ones to cause a problem? I watched our one pullet eat over 1/2c of green berries before I shooed her away.

I'm no doctor but IMHO, -  they're fine ...not as tasty, a bit more acidic, but not poisonous.
