Chuck and Sarah are 10 days old now (pics)

Yes Chuck is a cutie especially the talking pic! Sarah is adorable and i bet she will catch up with Chuck soon! My goslings are almost 5 weeks old and every once in a while ill hear a small honk from Lucy who is probably a gander (showing all the signs) but its ok she will always be my Lucy! Its not like she/he will know its a girl name lol.
Ours came sexed so I am REALLY trying hard to each day look for every tiny mark that makes one different from the other- I don't want to lose track. Not sure how to mark them since they are growing so fast. Every now and then a teeny honky noise will randomly come into a part of Chuck's meep cheeps. LOL Not often but I noticed a couple yesterday too funny.

I had Lucy 2 days before i got Elly and they looked so much alike but Lucy was a bit larger than Elly. Then i noticed Elly kept nibbling on Lucy's tail end puffy feathers and they were constantly moist and that was another way i could tell them apart lol! They are getting their feathers and at the stage where they look funny with new feathers and still some fluffy ones. When i first noticed the changes, Lucy looked like she had been rubbing her neck and lost some fluffy stuff but its new smooth feathers coming in...i just love watching them develop and change!! My BF said they are not looking so cute anymore. I told him, just wait....they are going to be soooo beautiful!

I'm having a love-fest over Chuck and Sarah. Shhh, dont tell my geese. Your guys are SOOOO CUTE. Oh my godness. I especially love their little patches of color. I think its interesting how, as a goose owner, you're able to tell your geese apart, even though to other people they look identical. Its small little things, but you'll know. My geese will turn 4 months next week, and they still meep. Not as high pitched as before though. Occasionally one of them will let out a deep honk, kind of like their going through puberty, but then they go back to meeping.

I keep wondering if they'll still sound cute when their voices change.

Aww thanks! Oh my goodness they don't honk for months? I am SO excited! How stinking cute will that be?? The honks will be fun too. I've always loved the way geese sound. Commands attention. I find baby birds in general fascinating - what they look like as babies vs adults blows my mind!

I love baby waterfowl. I honestly love the adult versions just as much just differently. I didn't buy waterfowl because of what they looked like as babies (but from the responses I got from friends "yeah they are cute now but don't forget they grow up and get ugly" and the amount of easter ducks and geese that are tossed aside) I guess not everyone appreciates them grown too. And oh my goodness they all thru a rangy mutt stage I call it. The ducks did it around 5 weeks or so. The Buff ducks especially looked absolutely awful. By week 7 all smooth and silky with feathers. I am not sure how geese feather out and their 'time frame' but I anticipated an awkward phase rofl!

I have 3 week old chicks. Oh my goodness. They are so ugly that only an owner can truly love them and find them cute- they are really mangy looking haha!

That is hilarious about the tail feathers- she was helping you tell them apart!
