About when will I start getting eggs????

I have a Jersey Giant and a White Plymouth Rock that are both 16 weeks old. I know that they might be a little young but they have been acting very odd lately. They have been clucking differently, acting odd, and today my daughter and I went running over to the chickens because we heard a strange and new clucking sound and it we thought something was wrong with. But they were fine. Is it too early for them to start laying???

They are entering that period.  Both of those breeds will take just a bit longer.  It is a process, not just a "moment".  They work their way into it.  Their hormones are stirring and they are getting ready.  Some may start in two or three weeks, while others will take another 4 to 5 weeks.  They lay when their bodies are ready.
