Kinda does..... I sent you some EE, Olive Eggers marans and just a few Lavs.... did you keep them separate at hatch? Maybe it is an EE or Olive Egger? Picture from the top will tell us more.

LOL I think I posted the wrong one. There is one really pale silvery chick. I'd better grab the camera next time I go out.
This is my new lavender boy that I brought home yesterday. He's about 4 1/2 months and he is directly from the Smith flock. It's pretty windy out so the feathers are not looking their best. Also brought home three lavender pullets with him, but I couldn't get any decent pics of them.

Well I had a ALL lavender hatch
1 of these came from that white lavender I had, but I am thinking 2 came from her. I think they should go to the EE pen.... what say you?????
This is one of hers.... see the chipmunk coloring and its head is all yellow.
See there are 2 with that chipmunk thing... one is darker than the other.
This is both of them see the yellow head?
These 2 are the normal looking lavs.
I have the two odd ones tagged different so I can watch them.

Congrats on your hatch! First lavender chicks I've seen and I am glad to know what they should look like.

Thanks, the 2 odd ones are not correct..... they should not have chipmunk stripes. I think CrystalCreek should put some REAL Lavender chicks pics up, she has some really good pictures.
Donna the chipmunk chicks might have that silver gene in them. Band them now, and if they show silver leakage later you will know for sure. I am holding on to a few that I know have silver, hoping for a lav silver duckwing female for my EE pen.
I'm trying to get my breeding information in order on these lavender birds and have so far compiled this:
Lav x Lav = 100% Lav
Lav x Lav Split = 50% Lav and 50% Lav Split
Lav Split x Lav Split = 25% Black and 25% Lavender and 50% Lav Split
Black x Lav = 100% Lav Split
What I haven't seen is what is produce when bred this way:
Black x Lav Split = ?
Please correct me if I've missed something.
