Do chicks need grit?

Getting 1 week old chicks and plan on feeding them chick starter. Do they need grit?

They don't need it if you are only feeding chick start/grower.  it doesn't hurt to offer it but they wont need it until they are older and being fed treats.

Like Sweetlilbaby said, Anytime they eat anything solid other than their starter they should have grit. Yours are just old enough to start going otside to dee the world. They will enjoy being able to explore and act like chickens. If they have access to bare soil then they will find grit on their own.
