any other peafowl owners in ohio?

are any of you guys located in ohio?

im having a heck of a time finding chicks locally (other than IB) and just thought id see what my other option were

its a zoo here:

12 call duck....2 geese -1 female saddleback pom. ....1american buff.

10 peafowl chicks <3

2 bantam cochins....

5 silkie hens and 4 splash juvis....

6 goats.....2 ponies....3beef cows.

an african grey parrot....2 fish tanks...

6hermit crabs... 3 betas... a turtle

and some guineas (all ages)

Have you checked craigslist? I also believe there's a breeder's directory on the UPA website.. I'll see if I can find it for you!

Burt (deerman) had peafowl in Ohio but he's no longer with us after battling cancer for years.
He was the King of information on here and a bunch of people have bought his birds from him after he started downsizing a year or 2 ago. (Bless his heart!)

 

Louden Farms, bought a bunch of birds from him and her and her husband have quite a few colors and they probably have peachicks for sale. http://www.loudenfarms.com/Poultry/Welcome.html

Chickens - (Naked Necks, Easter Eggers, Ameraucanas, D'uccles, and others.)
Call Ducks - (Blue Bibbeds, Greys, Chocolates, Whites, Silvers, and Butterscotches.)

Guineas - (Pearl Greys and Royal Purples.)

 i need to know what the market is for peafowl in southeren ohio so i can know how well they will sell when i start breeding a pair.

 Chicken lover!!! And die hard Vegitarian!  Cant wait for next spring gonna have a huge hatch!

Where in Ohio, Countrygirl? I'm in SE Michigan, and I will more than likely have a chick or two I will need to find a home for before this year is out.

I don't think owning 1 pair and selling their offspring will flood the market,or cause lower prices in Ohio,,they should sell easily if not overpriced.
