i have a friend who needs some laying hens or about to lay. i can't give mine up. just started a new flock. any type will do. willing to drive and pay for layers. i am located by the maryland line.

Check out your local 4 H fairs.  Here in NJ they are selling production reds for $50 for six pullets.  Perhaps they do the same in Pa or Md.

I live in Dillsburg so I am familiar with south-central Pa. There is a great place to buy pullets about to lay located in Orrtanna Pa. There website is www.stackschickenfarm.com. It is probably 40 min from Hanover. They range in price from 15 to 25 dollars each and are organic fed. They carry about 20 different breeds and there is no minimum if you pick them up. You should really check it out!!! thumbsup.gif
