Hello, I've been lurking for a few months. I finally registered just wanted to say hi. We are just starting out with some chickens we got from the Department of Agriculture here in Guam. It's been great fun so far and we're learning a lot. Our silkie just hatched a bunch of little chicks so we're trying to figure out the best way to care for them.

We also have some mixed chicks that are maybe 8 weeks old. The thought is they are mixed Austro and some local chickens (game bird maybe?). We are hoping they will be great layers!

I was hoping to figure out how to import different breeds of chickens out to the island here. I think it will be quite a challenge, but if anyone wants to join forces let me know!

That's cool that your silkie hatched some chicks.
I'm not sure about Guam, but I know there are some folks in Hawaii who want to get chicks shipped out too. Maybe you could get some tips off them.
