Black Australorp or Black sex-link

Turken (naked-neck)

Easter Egger

Rhode Island Red?

When and where did you get them? They look a little roughed-up.

I live with my partner and our daughter in the foothills of NC. We LOVE our critters!

I'm not sure the black one is a hen. How old is it?

Turken

Easter Egger

Generic red hen.

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!

I bought them in a poultry shop, they said they are molting... at the beginning I though they were sick, but actually they are not and they are great layers

they look like that because the rooster they where with was over breeding them. the feathers will grow back in, you can get saddles for them if you have a rooster with them, to keep the new ones from getting messed up as they come in.
