Quality BLRW Chcks

Will Ship To: Nowhere -- local only

We selected our final flock stock from birds from the top breeders (Foley, Paul etc). We also selected a rooster with a SUPER nice temperament. He is nice to the hens, and has never showed any aggression to humans. The rooster is blue, and hens blue and splash.

 

Chicks for sale for local pick up only. Straight run. $10 day old, $15 3 weeks. Parents pictures below. Thanks for looking!!!

Probably a silly question, but what does BLRW mean? Those chickens are gorgeous by the way!

Ok, 2nd silly question:

 how do you say Wyandotte..."why-an-dot"? "Whee-an-dot"? "-dottie"?  i'm so confused.

I think it is like whine-dot (whine as in teenagers tongue.png) or may be wine-dots

 

Just hatched 17 of these guys yesterday........

I'm in VA, so no chicks for me  hit.gif

 

But I just have to ask, in your second picture one of the hens looks much lighter than the other.  Is it just the lighting?  I absolutely LOVE the way the darker (bluer) girl looks.  BLRW are way up on my list of must-haves for Spring.  I'm hoping I can find a breeder near enough to me so that I can pickup a couple of chicks.

You are right, in the second pic the darker hen is a blue laced, the others are splash (white) laced. They also come in black laced. Any of the three are possible depending on the genes the chicks get from the parents. 

 

We may consider shipping chicks in spring as there has been so much interest. There will be hatching eggs for sure.
