What's the best breed for me?!

I've been thinking about adding a backyard coop for sometime now, but before I do I'd like to do as much research as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions on what would be a good breed for me?

I live in Florida and would like a breed that can:
  • tolerate the heat
  • is relatively quiet (no roosters for me)
  • produces eggs - at any rate
  • docile/friendly
  • would do well cooped at night
  • and can help me with any pest problems in my garden

Is there a chicken breed for me?!

several, but you won't want chickens in the garden till after harvest.

dust bath pits and leaf eating happen- frequently.

I picked:

Climate - hot
Broodiness- Seldom (unless you'll want to hatch chicks, but then half of those will be roosters- just buy sexed pullets)

and did not fill anything else out- got a bunch of hits.
