I know at least one family only wants them for pets, so they should be fine with it. I'll have to ask my back-up family if they are OK with it.

The girls are #2 Hyacinth (over marked blue fawn?), #4 (chocolate, first picture on post 50) and  #7 (blue bullseye on back, first pic on post 56).

Do you think I could get by with two boys for my three girls? And if so, which two boys would you pick? They are all so cute. Dangit, I wish I could keep them all! But they will go to a good home just down the road from us so I can visit. smile.png

They'll be fine until they're 6 months or so old. Then you'll know if they're overbreeding. And, things might ramp up further come springtime when it's breeding season in earnest.

But some folks do fine with pairs, so it's hard to say!

The first two little ones have left for their new home. Kind of sad sad.png, but I'm happy to spread the duckie love!

Kids took these 017.JPG

Since I only had 3 girls hatch, we're keeping them all and giving away our surplus males. The people we gave the ducks to tonight said they'd be interested in getting females from us in the future, so I'm taking that as a sign I need to put more Ancona eggs in the incubator in the spring! lol.png
