Does this mean drake?

I have three runner ducklings that are 5 and 6 weeks old.  Two of them are quacking up a storm and the other does not make any noise at all.  In fact, she frequently opens "her" mouth like she wants to quack but nothing comes out.  She has done this since I got this pair of chocolates at 3.5 weeks.  The quiet one does not have particularly thick legs nor is "she" any larger than the other.  It does not matter either way, especially since I am pretty sure (or just really hoping fl.gif) that the other two are girls.

Any thoughts on this super quiet kid?

You probably got a drake on your hand. My drake was really quiet incomparison to my girl duck.
He sounded like a raspy whisper.

Just based on your description, I'd say two girls and a boy.

Nine beautiful Runners, four beautiful Buffs, thousands of beautiful memories and counting.

I don't know if it's different for runners, but my first girl (I have Mallards) didn't get her voice until 8 weeks and the other girls didn't get theirs for another week and the males where even later. And one of my girls is bigger than the males. It's kinda funny tongue.png
