New D.H.S.'s new rules say to run and hide. Even armed border patrol agents.

I find it insulting that 911 operators tell me to run and hide in the back corner of my house before I can fill the intruder with lead.

If someone is invading your home you have every right to take the appropriate action.  I read that link.. it was hard to read, not exactly a good webpage to go for any real information but I found the article on Fox.  Seems strange.  I can't help but think it was some type of error.. like I just can't fathom the idea that a border patrol agent under fire is expected to retreat.  I could be wrong, we'll see what happens.

Whats the point of having border control with guns if they are suppose to retreat then throw things at them and then finally call 911. I am also confused as to why there would be a gun fight on the border.

It's not just for at the border there was a border patrol agent shot in Texas yesterday or the day before. if they stop at a store to buy a coke and a robbery gun fight breaks out they are required to run and hide. They even showed the training video and they said even all armed officers.

The border patrol agent was shot early this morning while on duty in Texas

I wonder how many people find the irony in this. They demand the BP basically lay down their weapons, but they are buying street sweepers for the IRS?

I think you are risking sensationalism, hemet dennis.  Saying if they are attacked in a store they are dead because they have to run away.  Do you *really* think that's how that it would play out?  If I felt my life was in danger I would disregard all advice to the contrary.

And if you worked for the DHS you would have to suffer the consequences of not following the rules. I'm not sensationalizing this just telling what the new rules are. Did you look at the link ? You wont find it on the DHS website because this is there internal rules. If you can find something that said it's not true I'll look at it. So if a border agent gets shot by one of Holders guns because he didn't run away it's his own fault. It's a sad government we have now.

In response.. I have not tried to find any refuting evidence.. but if the link you provided is good enough for you then I am sorry you are so easily manipulated.  I mean, look at the link you provided us.. can you seriously hold any credence to it?  I hope the answer is no.  The issue at hand may be true, I just hope you don't get your news from the source you linked us... and, sadly, I feel you probably do.  As I said previously it seems a bit whack, I wouldn't be surprised if this is an error... but I also said I didn't know, so maybe you are right.   About not finding it on the DHS website.. I am almost certain they have to post that info.. your inability to find it does not mean it isn't there.  Again, with this past comment, I am certain you are taking the sensationalist route.  But I don't blame you, it's the easiest route to take.

it does sound pretty silly. But i'll stick with what my old plt. sgt. tought me. It is always better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6.
