New therapy chickens!

The chickens are being trained to be in two programs a " Job Skills" program that has three branches; Vet Science, Farm and Facility Managment, and Business Managment. Also a regular therapeutic program. For example the Job Skills Farm and Facility's Managment , The clients need to; hold the chicken, clean the coop, change feed, collect eggs, get fresh water etc. So we are training them to be ok with being touched and being around people, this is very important so clients can be confident while with us, and therefore transferring that outside of the therapy. Hope Farms Project's therapy animals also includes; Nigerian Dwarf goats, Peking ducks, horses, potbelly pigs, and rabbits.

Yes many people don't know is that raising chickens is a great hobby! i've met a lot of great people by showing, and breeding too. its been wonderful
