I have another mystery chick. Im sure its mixed but it has no crest at all! Ive had it since it was a baby and its been 3 months that Ive had this chick. It has been extremely slow at feathering out. I have posted the few pictures I have of it. It had just the wing feathers for the longest time and all yellow baby fuzz. Im curious as why or what it is.

Are you sure it's a chicken?!  Looks part alien to me!  ep.gif 3 months is sure old to not have finished feathering. Is it part naked neck? Wish I could help, but really have no idea. Hope someone can help.

That looks like a turkey.. LOL

Here is one of my Eastern Wild Turkeys (legal here in Canada to keep them - but that's besides the point). Your chick has the face of my turkey. Looks like he/she is beginning to go naked in the face/neck just like a turkey would.

Is it possible?

My turkeys are growing really slow hmm.png They are almost 7 weeks old, and they are all feathers and no weight. They are just for looks/pets though, so I'm not looking to put meat on them fast.

Bronze turkeys are meant to grow fast. Some other breeds are not.

I thought my turkeys would be losing their head fluff by this point, but nope.. They are growing rather slowly. Ah well. They have quite the personality.

Hey, what does the chick sound like? Turkeys make very different noises than chickens. Maybe that will be your definite answer.

This is a strange looking critter...I have read where turkeys have been able to breed and reproduce with chickens.  I don't know how much truth is in it but, there are a couple threads on here about it.....
