Nice work thumbsup.gif

Usually I just go to their profiles and it'll have the threads listed there. Easy access and easy reporting. roll.pnglol.png

We have a new kind of spam. Took me 2 weeks to figure it out hide.gif They post under New Member Introductions and it's not obvious, like the movie spammers. They don't mention chickens, but talk about this site in very complimentary terms, the work they do and most mention a company they own/work for (spam for?). They are usually very polite say things like "like this website; very friendly people" and use bad grammar. And the posts are signed very formally. They also mention their name/company name more than once.

I asked the mods to have a look and they confirmed that it is spammers. So if you spot something along those lines, report it.

I was wondering about those, too. Glad to know that they really are spammers.

I really wasn't sure what to think about them, but remember the Harry Vested ones? When the 4th or 5th one appeared I got suspicious and asked the mods to check it out. Look for threads with the word "vested" in the title or body. Though they don't always put it in, but if it looks fishy, report it. You're a veteran greeter, so you'll pick them out easy, I think smile.png

Oh yeah, there was a bunch of the Harry Vested ones, wasn't there. One right after another lol. They're pretty obvious now that I know that's what they are. One of the things I've noticed, though, is (other than the odd, almost formal wording) they almost all say something like, ' my friends told me about this website' lol.

We think most of these have been found and squashed, but if you find any others, please report them and we'll kill those spammers too!

We wil, Nifty. I'm hoping they'll get the message soon and go away. I haven't seen many movie spams this week and I used to find 6-8 in a day. I think we're winning.
