This is the seventh coop I've built. It is for growing out Silkies. There is a bench built onto the coop wall in both runs. It is great for sitting with the birds until they calm down and act naturally. They are much easier to evaluate that way. The center is a 4 x 8 foot enclosed coop and it is 8 feet tall at the peak. It is flanked on both sides by 6 x 8 foot runs. A hot wire runs around the bottom. It could be sectioned off in the middle to make two separate enclosures, but it is open now so the Silkies can move between the shady and sunny runs. The white lattice looked unbalanced, so I painted a white Silkie in the center.
