Hi Geese! So I also have had this issue of trying to find a picture of what a clear single lobe looks like. If you happen to find one outside of this thread could you post the picture here too so we can see what it looks like?

I miiiightt have an example of one in my flock but I'd have to take a look and snap a picture and hope that I'm right. (I really wish the SOP book would actually show examples of single lobe vs. double lobe)

Hi Hucklekree! Congratulations! You're gonna have fun with those little goofballs, Pom goslings are a riot. I have all my fingers crossed for you right now!

What coloration did you get? Or are you getting a mix?


And as for a quick update from my farm, I have no less than 2 females sitting on eggs right now! In fact, Greta (She has a chronic leg injury, nothing too crazy it just causes her to limp every once in a while, much like me with my ankle problems so sitting can sometimes be a bit difficult for her), has been religiously sitting on a nest in the back corner of the coop (Behind the trash can we use as a feed bin that the chickens like to lay eggs in lol). One of the babies from last year is also sitting. And my mother caught Bruni sitting again. I managed to check the eggs when she was taking a break and they were warm! So she is sitting indeed!

Now to hurry and get a bunch of fence repairs done before we have goslings everywhere!

Hey! I am hoping for both Buff and Gray saddlebacks but I will take whichever configuration I can get this year. The breeder has both and I have put in the request but straight run is always a gamble. And I don't have the space to keep extra males. Ideally we would get two breeding trios...or even two pairs. But we always tend towards more males. Hope that means somewhere else there is a farm that benefits from the imbalance of luck on our end .

I'm having trouble finding any Pomeranian goslings. Where did you guys get yours?

I have been getting mine from a nice breeder 2 hours from me in SW WA

I found some!
I did have to drive four hours away, but I now have six Pomeranian goslings.Three buff and three grey.
