What breed and gender are my chicks (chickens)?

These two are approx 8-9 weeks old this week.

A looks like a Plymouth Rock and B appears to be an Easter egger or Americana. If you click on the breeds tab there are some good photos of both breeds 

Count your chickens before they hatch and put all yours eggs in one basket...scary but not fatal

Its a barred rock, and my guess is a pullet.

I didnt see B and idk what breed that is.

Barred Rock is also a cockerel.

Looks like my friend's Barred Plymouth Rock cockeral; sorry :(

The other looks like an Easter Egger pullet, but they are hard to sex early on except by coloring; I think my friends looks like yours and is a pullet though.

The first one is a barred Plymouth Rock. The second one looks like an EE.
