I have a black silkie, full blooded, so its not a cross breed. This might happen if one of the momma or daddys parents where white.

Silkies have a bit of a reputation of not always being genetically pure. And there are a lot of things that can hide under black, genetically.

What I'd guess since that chick looks pure white and both parents are black is that both parents have one Recessive White gene and one not-Recessive White. Since the Reccessive White gene is not dominant, you won't see if unless it pairs up with another recessive white.
