Hello all,

My previous post was one month ago about these birds. Here is the link of that post https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/674885/what-breed-and-sex-are-these-chicks-pic-heavy.

I took new photos today, they are 8 weeks old now.

I guess it's clear that #1 is a cockerel and #2 and #3 are pullets, right? :)

I also wonder that the breeds are of these birds. Second seems like a sex link I guess (I'm very new with chickens). Is the first one a leghorn cockerel? And what about the third one? Light Sussex? They should be some egger breeds as the seller said that they are eggers.

1.

2.

3.

1=cockerel 2=pullet 3=cockerel white one looks like leghorn mix, 2 isnt a sexlink because wrong body type. 3 is a mystery for me .

Why do you say that #3 is a cockeral?

My guess is that you are right...#1 roo the others, pullets.

#1 = cockerel
#2 & #3 = pullets - they look like mixes to me - #2 reminds me of an ee - but then ee's are mixes...

#3 is not behaving as a cockerel at all. I would be very surprised if she turns out to be "he". She also the lightest one.

I was thinking #2 was a cockerel when they were 4-5 weeks old. Then #1 started to develop a bigger and redder comb and wattles. #2's comb stayed the same size since.

Could all of them be some sex link? When they were day old chicks #1 was yellow, #2 was black and #3 was whitish with three black stripes on her back. I guess I've read somewhere that sex links male chicks becomes lighter color and female chicks become darker colors. But #3 is not that dark color

Maybe she is cockerel after all.

I bought all of these birds from the same basket. There were two other baskets, one for meat chicks and one for some barnyard mixes called "village chicken" here.

Village chickens -- I like that!

I am no expert by any means, and my opinion isn't worth a thin dime, so take it for what it's worth:

1. White cockerel. (I told you about that thin dime.)
2. Welsummer-ish pullet. (-ish because of "village chicken") Welsummers aren't exactly thick on the ground, though. So maybe not likely.
3. That looks a bit like what they call Columbian coloring, which to my tiny knowledge is available in Brahma and Light Sussex flavors. (I don't think the latter have yellow legs, though.) Pullet.

I thought roo because of thick legs and posture. Also has what looks to me like a pea comb (cant really see in the picture) and those arent very apparent and looks even though its not red to be a decent size
