can anyone confirm that this is a roo?? - Page 2

Well, post pics of whoever else you have and we can verify they're pullets if you want. I've had some suprises myself--folks look at you weird when you tell them your huge rooster's name is Betty, cause you didn't realize he was a roo until he was 6 months old!

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!

That's it..only 3.  I will post a pic of the 6 month old tomorrow or soon.  Yes, the splash Americauna was named sparkles (by my son).  I think that is why he grew so big...better be a big rooster to be named sparkles!!  LOL

Ok, folks...here are 3 more shots...this one is about 6 months old and was given to me at 1 month by someone saying it was a pullet.  The chicken is not overally large...he she is the boss of the backyard coop but is also the oldest.  See the pics and let me know if I need to take back to the guy who sold to me.  He said he would exchange for a young hen. Thanks for helping me figure this one out!!!

Well cock-a-doodle-doo!!!  Look at those pointy, draping saddle feathers!!  I'd say this is your crower.  Maybe he knew he couldn't stay if he crowed, so he kept things under the radar???

Caretaker of a lovely mixed flock including: australorp, plymouth rocks, wyandotte, d'uccles, silkies, EEs, andalusian, and a few seramas, plus a golden retriever, great dane, and three cats.

He looks like a rooster to me because of the long hair he has on his neck... and they way he stands. His crown is also super red!
