Tie back her puff with a ribbon or trim the feathers by her eyes . That's what I have been told to do.

Married mother of 3 amazing kids, 2 boys and a girl. I love animals, I have 3 dogs, a dogue de bordeaux, a shih tzu and a goldie. A friend of mine trimmed the fluff away from my little silkie girl's eyes with very sharp sewing scissors while I held her in my lap, keeping her head from moving during active cutting sessions. We took our time, little snips here and there, so she wouldn't be too frightened,

When we put her down on the ground, the change was amazing! You could see her grooving on the world around her. She also picked up weight, because she could finally SEE food.

We only cut the side feathers on her head, around the eyes, yes.  Her crest looked a little funny but she was SO much happier!

I had to play chicken beauty shop and give all my silkies a little trim, the look they get whenever you set them down and they can see is priceless......

I like the part about tying the hair back with a ribbon, how cute would that be! smile.png I gave my Silkie a hair cut the other day and my husband thought it was hilarious. But, now the poor baby can see!

I read that some where about the bow but not sure how to do it or if it is possible. I have silkies but haven't come across this problem yet. My chicks are only 6 weeks old. It does sound really cute though.
