Does anybody know where you can get a gallon water bottle that you can hang

Go to your grocery store, Sam's club, or Costco. You can find all kinds of items sold in gallon jugs! Pick which item you will use and purchase in bulk. ACV comes in a nice quality plastic gallon jug.

We used an iced tea pitcher.

Are you talking about something like this:

Most feedstores carry poultry waterers like this. I bought mine from TSC (Tractor Supply Company). You can just tie some rope around the handle and then hook it to the ceiling of your coop. A good rule of thumb is to keep the feeder and waterer at the height of the smallest chicken in your flocks back. This prevents waste and also keeps the feed and water clean.

i used the waterer shown above, but it is such a pain to open & close.  i finally found one very similar but w/a screw on top. it's bigger than one gal.  it's three gal i think.  i like it alot better.  it's easier to empty and clean.

I have seen those 3 gallon waterers (with screw on cap) at TSC (Tractor Supply Company) before. Check your local feed store. They should carry them, if not maybe you can order them online.

I picked up 3 from quality supply, they were 2 gallon ones, and they stood on the cap to fill which these three gallons do not do, makes it easy to fill !, awesome and for only 4.99 I hang them with chain and hook, we have 2 hung right now, does us wonderfully.
