They do not lay when they are broody.

Mine will usually lay one more egg after they start sticking to the nest at night, but after that, no, not if they are full on broody. Sometimes, it takes awhile to actually work up to being serious.

Egg production stops for the broody hen, but other chickens will gladly deposit their eggs in the broody's nest.
For three weeks you will have to put up with this:
