Try one of those fly catchers at walmart . they stink but they work ..
 

our two new Babies.arrived March 8th - 2013 - Rexy & Rox/Roxy - Roo ?  ... Our  (6) Baby chicks arrived April 15 2012  ,the (4) rescued hens in June 2012 .., 1 cat -Toma , 3 Cichlid fish ,.1 Australorp Roo named Lucky..

An added benefit from the Victor Fly Magnet type live traps is that after a week or so large numbers of fly larvae appear in them. Great live protein the birds love. I unscrew the top as the maggots swarm and the girls go to work. Gross but they love it...

 

ETA: I watch closely and they only go after the live maggots. The dead flies are left alone.

It is my experience those "stink traps" attract a lot more flys than they catch...
