Need help strarting an incubator...

What is the best way to set the incubator for the first time? It's a Genesis 1588, I will be hatching 38 chicken eggs of different kinds, some people said to run it alone for a while, and other people said to run it with water until temperature and humidity are set. What would be the optimum temperature and humidity? I live in Albuquerque and the elevation is about 5,000 ft, someone told me this is relevant, but I am not sure. Any advise in my first hatch would be greatly appreciated...

I plug mine in and wait an hour,  Then I add a bit of water make sure you have humidity up a bit as Albuquerque is dry and the air will dry out in bater.  Make sure you have a good hydromoter and thermostat.  Do not trust the one on the incubator seems they are always off

I have many Sphynx cats 20 chickens 3 yorkies and koi
