Help! What Breed is this chicken?

Hi All - I am new to BYC and am having a blast learning! I have been in the chicken world for only about 6 months. I was given this chicken, Aggie, about three weeks ago. She is the sweetest thing and loves to be held and falls asleep on your lap. She is about 5 months old, I was told. Can you help figure out what breed?

I am guessing you have a Black Australorp: http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGA/Lorps/BRKLorps.html  although it is possible you have a Jersey Giant: http://feathersite.com/Poultry/CGD/BJG/BRKBJGs.html

If you look at the bottom of the feet, the BA will be white/pink and the JG will be yellowish.

I am going to guess that she is a black Australorp.  That's great because they're fantastic layers!  You're lucky!

Proud owner of some nice show quality Buckeyes and Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks.  I love gardening and being outdoors.  I'm lucky to have a great family, and two cute dogs.  I live out in the country on six wooded acres and it's just paradise!  (Except the mortgage payment and bills, of course)

She is an Australorp.  I can see the white flesh between her toes, so that rules out the JG.

Thank everyone for your replies!! I agree with ou after doing a little more reading, I think she is a Australorp too. I have a 5 week chick that was given to me by the same friend and I think she is the same breed. I'm excited!

Loved my Black Australorp hen. She was top of pecking order, but was so calm and gentle. I once read they are "dignified" and that described her perfectly. When the sun hits their feathers they have a green tint, looks really cool. Enjoy her!

Yep, she's an Aussie. You're going to love her!

1 German Shepherd, 1 Borador, 1 Malitpoo, 1 West Highland Terrier, 1 German Shorthair Pointer puppy, 3 Australorps, 6 Red Sex Links, 1 Black Sex Link, 1 Speckled Sussex, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 2 Golden Laced Wyandottes, 2 Buff Orpingtons, 3 Tetra Tints (aka: Amber Sex Link) and 9 Easter Eggers.

YES, I had to thin my flock out. It went from 57 to 28.  :(
