I got home from work today and as always I went out to play with the chickens. My chickens are about 13 weeks. As I was cleaning up putting out water and feeding them I saw some clear looking jello like the inside side of an egg but no shell. Do they do this first cause I saw no shell around I saw this in two area of the coop. I was going to buy nesting boxes this weekend but i have now put out crates with hay in them to see what happens tonight.

What kind of chickens are they? That is pretty young. Some of our hens have laid eggs without shells before, just like a film. My Sussex just started laying at a little less than 5 months old......I am pretty sure that is young too.

We take the hard part out of raising pullets!! We order them from the hatchery and raise them until they are old enough to live outside without heat-lamps. And you can purchase as few or as many as you want, No minimum order here!!

We also breed and rescue Mini Aussies, the perfect pets!!
