ummmm dont think this is a coronation sussex!

I was sold some eggs and I think they may have made a mistake.... Though I am no expert so I am very happy to be mistaken myself big_smile.png.....

This little one was supposed to be a coronation sussex but was the only one that hatched so I have nothing to compare it with. It is nearly 7 months old now and I think that I have to admit that perhaps it is not going to be what I thought but I am at a loss as to exactly what it actually is....

Also sorry bout the photos- she is the flightiest of all our birds and generally runs the other way- even when we are feeding them :(

Yes, I am beginning to wonder if perhaps one of their game birds got into the wrong pen :(

I was so set on having a coronation sussex..... not sure what to do now?

Always contact the seller and give them a chance to make things right. Although, after 7 months, I'd personally have a hard time with what to do as the seller. I guess they could send you more eggs, if that was your purchase.

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!

To me, that looks like a cross with a Sussex, so your theory could be right.

Friesians, Sebrights, Barnevelders, Araucanas, Cream Legbars, Dutch Bantams, Vorwerks, an Appenzeller Spitzhauben, a Sabelpoot and a few crosses .

Thanks everyone- I have know in my heart of hearts that she wasnt what she was supposed to be for some time - I suppose I just didnt want to admit it....

I cant give her away - we raised her from egg and while she is more distant than my other girls we still love her and she has a large personality....

While she may not be the breed that we wanted we love her anyway and I am glad that we have her....
