Young Pair of Jubilee Orpingtons. Bought directly from Green Fire Farms. They are 4 months old. Beautiful birds. I am NPIP.This is a buy it now for $350. Shipping is $60. I will only ship when the temperatures allow.

I have other English and part English Orpingtons for sale. Blue, Black, Splash and Lavenders. Trying to raise some money for a large vet bill, otherwise I would not be parting with them.

If they were ordinary chickens of an ordinary quality they may be over priced. But many poultry breeders try to improve the quality of the breeds we like. The amount of effort, time and money we put into our birds is worth the prices we ask and many times we lose money if all considerations are taken. Cheap birds are cheap for a reason and more expensive birds are priced according to their quality and demand. $350.00 for this pair of birds from someone that knows what they are doing is a more than fair price. Many breeders do not charge more for their birds than what they are willing to spend on their own breeding and show stock.

Although I understand show quality chickens costing more, I would just LOVE to hear your theories on why my birds are cheap :) Thanks.
 
If anybody did any research they would understand that Greenfire imported this color very recently and at very expensive cost. It cost 10's of thousand of dollars to import chickens from England or any other country LEGALLY. Now figure in losses during the long quarantine by the USDA where their care is out of your control and you will start to understand why these birds are so expensive. To come in and bash a sale when you know nothing about the circumstances is a little ignorant. It is ok to ask questions but being derogatory should not be allowed. Good luck with this sale I am salivating wanting these guys so bad!
