I still have one of those round metal incubators! Yes it still works! I use it for reptile eggs which are not ever turned during incubation and are kept in plastic food containers until hatch. I took out the wire bottom, don't need it. I just use a few bowls of water for humidity. Depending on species and temperature most reptile eggs take 4-6 months to hatch!
That will work for a week or two. Maybe more if you only have 5-10 quail chicks. If you use shavings replace them often as they can pick at their poop and get enteritis and can get poop balls on their toes. Elevate feeders and waterers on bricks or wood as they grow so they just walk up and use them without dipping their heads. It will keep the shavings out. Better to use wire bottoms if possible, it's so much cleaner!Took this for you at tractor and supply,what do you think about this?
