wet pullets

Thread Starter

We got a freak shower/ thunderstorm at home today and we have several month old pullets and keets sitting in a dog kennel outside. It looks like it poured on them. Had i known there was a chance of rain i would have given them better shelter from the weather but all we have had is hot weather so they are protected only by the shade of the trees around them. Hoping I don't return home to any lost birds. At 5 weeks is it ok for them to be out in the rain? I should note that the high for today was in the 90s.

Proud parents of 3 dogs (our lab thinks hes the father to all of our birds and our pitbulls love to chase our birds), 20 chickens, 6 guineas, and we hope to have 2 goats by the end of the year!

They'll be fine.  They are pretty much full fledged at this point.

Good luck.
