First, watching a runner duck run is awesome. They can find their own food. They aren't like pekins in water. Mine haven't started laying but I heard their decent.

Its not as fat and slow as a pekin, but its not frail either. I want a mallard but I don't want a flying bird. The rouen is great for that.

They are my calmest birds and are easiest to catch. They eat less than Pekins. I heard they also lay well, but mine are younger.

praying they can finish removing scar tissue and dialte his trachea. if they cant do that then we will have to wait and do the big reconstructive surgery. Trying to fing a motel room near the hospital is driving me crazy. if we dont stay there we will have to get up at 3 in the morning to leave by 4 so we can be at the hospital by 6:30.... what I do for my precious angel.

On another note it wont quit raining here. it has rained for 4 days already and is suposed to rain the next few days.

Praying for you! I know what you mean about having to get up so early to drive a distance to have a procedure done. My DD had to have an endoscopy done last year. She was losing weight at an unbelievable rate and the peds gastroenterologist couldn't figure out why. We had to get up at 2:30, drive to Roanoke and find the hospital. Had to be there by 5. Well, I got lost and we ended up way away from where we were supposed to be. We got to the hospital at 5:05. I was not happy because it turns out the directions they gave me were wrong. I can laugh about it now though.

Praying everything goes great for Ayden.

tamazing report on Ayden from his surgeon

It looks like Ayden may get his trach out before christmas. Doctor says if he had bigger rocks he would have decanulated Ayden today . he worries about all the bad luck Ayden has had in the past . his airway went from being 95% norrowing to about only 45%. he is only waiting a few months because his Larnyx is hyper sensitive. that it swells some and is afraid if he gets a cold he will have trouble breathing. they think it swells from his acid reflux so he is on meds for that now. yeah no major reconstruction ... praise the lord. thanks for all of the prayers
