hi from southern indiana. I have learned alot by reading BYC. thank you! Ive never raised chickens before so any tips about my coop would be awesome. The coop is 4X4 and 5' tall (roughly). the whole pen is 11x11 7' tall. 6 hens that are 10-12 weeks old. I was worried about the coop having enough ventiltion. I might need to take some better pics. I dont have any vents, but im thinking I need to put atleast one on the roof.

Good coop! ![]()
Don't hesitate to ask any questions on the forum, no matter how silly it may be.
Enjoy the site and good luck!
If every single person were to stop buying cage eggs and become environmental activists, the world would be a better place.
I went to Mcdonald's and asked for some fries. The cashier said 'would you like some fries with that?'
Life was much simpler when Apple and Blackberry were just fruits.

Your coop looks quite nice. You could add a couple of windows in there, and wire them over, that would do.
With our coop, we have one entire wall that is wire mesh.
Usually gaps in the wood would be fine for ventilation.
I hope you find all the info you need, and good luck with your coop!
