Chriswardens52, that one is the Welsh Harlequin, I got her (I have 2 others besides her) from Metzer Farms.

Those are the two breeds I would love to have. Is your Cayuga molting or is that just the lighting around her face? Out of the two breeds though I really want a Welsh Harlequin they are such beautiful birds. Well just go a head and show us the others if you have pictures of them.

The Cayuga is still just a baby and not finished getting her grown up feathers, but she is also standing in the shade with the sun hitting just her face and part of her head.

Her head shimmers that beauityful green and her back and wings shimmer green/blue and purple.  She is adorable!

The Welsh are very pretty and nice birds, I would defnately recomend getting some!

Size wise how do Cayuga and Welsh compare to pekin and mallards?

Thanks everyone for your kind words, He has been so gentle with the ducklings this year, so I know he didn't mean to do this, just a freak accident. Mama and baby are doing really good, I'm the one having the difficulty getting over it. Everyone pics are so precious, I hope i haven't ruined the thread with sadness.  hugs.gif
