The only one I really know is 'the ranch" but I live there and that is probably too specific.  Also might be an old term.

do NOT order from this site.  My husband ordered our coop from this site because he didn't have time to build one for us.

We placed the order on April 8th, the money got take out of the account April 9th and we have yet to get our coop shipped out!!

Not only was there an unexpected shipping delay, and we got ZERO notice, but I had to call 3 times in the same day to get that information told to me.

At first they extended a $100 credit to our account on their site for the inconvenience. I was more frustrated by the lack of communication from the company then the fact it was actually delayed. Things happen.

So I got told that the coop was due to be released for shipping on Mon, April 30th and that it would probably be sent out on Tues. My shipping was to be marked as priority and expedited. Come Fri, April 4th and no shipping information has been sent to me, so I call again and see whats going on.

I get told that there was ANOTHER 2 wk delay and they weren't able to even ship it out till Thurs, May 10th! Which means that not only was I given FALSE information yet again, but I wasn't NOTIFIED of this. There was also no note about expedited shipping...which would have added ANOTHER 2 wks onto my delivery!!  So if i hadn't have called I probably wouldn't have gotten my coop till the beginning of JUNE on an order placed in the beginning of APRIL.

I contacted customer service about my issues and they were very rude about everything. I finally got them to reimburse our shipping cost after threatening to turn them into the BBB.

NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

Now on to another issue... where to put my chickens till I figure things out!  They are almost 12 wks old and still in the brooder  barnie.gif and I have no place to put them!   Is there a place out here that i can find a coop big enough to place 7 large fowl?!? I'd prefer one that would be comfy for 10 but at this point i just need to get them out. My hubby is too busy to build one for at least another couple wks and he has all the tools with him so i can't do anything myself.   I need one ASAP because they are starting to have issues.    Help!!

Are you handy with a hammer or even tying wire?  You can make a quick coop out of pallets and a tarp.  It won't be predator proof unless you enclose it in wire fencing but it could hold them for a little while and give you some breathing room to think clearly.  Pallets are free and the good ones almost have solid tops but a tarp will keep the wind out.  You get the idea.  You can put T-posts in the ground to help keep the pallets up and steady.  It will work in a pinch.

Man!

I have enough wood pallets and 3x3s to build awesome coops.  I have built 5 coops now.  If you were closer I could help you out, but Northern CO is a bit too far.

Keep your eyes open on Craigslist.  Also check the Thrifty Nickel, and put the word out for pallets.

Good luck.  Hate to hear the Gals don't have a place yet.

I talking with the company....which i forgot to state above (saferwholesales.com) and chewed them out, again.  The told me that the coop is going to be shipped this week from ohio. I said I'd give them till fri at noon to have ups get me the shipping info. If i don't have them by then I will be disputing the charges with the bank, cancelling my order and reporting them to the BBB.

I think my hubby is going to take a half day off work to make a shipping crate into something for them. Its going to be 4  walls, a roof, a small vent and a door. Its just going to have to do for a few wks. I have some poultry netting in the shed that i'm going to tie to something....maybe even a couple ladders. Just to make an extremely temporary run for them.

Thanks for the suggestions/help!
