Thanks for the welcome.

I wouldn't say they have a rose comb. It looks like a very small single comb or a pea comb to me. I'll try to post some pictures. I don't know how to 'browse' my pictures.

The barring isn't very defined.

I'll try to post some pictures.

I think you need at least 10 or so posts before you can upload photos.... I don't remember exactly.

Dom pullets and hens have fairly small combs depending on the strain and breeder. How old are they, and where did you get them?

You're welcome!

I was out there atempting to get some photos of a particular line of doms, I had my arm on the seat of a chair to stabilize, and the jenny kept jumping up on my arm! I finally put the camera down and put both of them on the board.

BTW, the jenny is getting VERY good at fly hunting. We were watching the other day and she was averaging about 1 per minute.

It is amazing watching them stalk small insects. They can get very focused.

Ever watch them chase the bugs? Their head keeps up pretty well, but their body is a couple of inches behind, so when the insect zig-zags the head does too, and the body is trying to keep up, but going the wrong direstion., Very funny to watch.

^^ We watched one of our girls snatch a fly mid-air the other day. It's amazing how fast they are sometimes.

YUP! between the chicks and the poults, no moths survive for long in the chicken pens.
