I am fairly sure the kids first word will be 'Multipass'.  My restraint is not that good either.

Well as I have learned by reading posts here on BYC, a coop is never "finished" and today I joined that club by enlarging our run.  I am grateful to have a very understanding BF that knows how much I care for these peeps.  What I thought would be enough space, which was fine when they were little, is not now that they resemble small chickens.  So the Denver Double has a double run.  I can't wait to add some natural wood perches now that there is more room.  Will post some pics tomorrow.  Oh and on another note, pretty sure the two I kept from taking to the swap are cockerels.  Saw some very pretty saddle feathers on both of them.  1 of 6 is a pullet, first and last time I take chicks from the classroom!  Looks like my flock will be reduced to 4 (hmm or maybe I can get just ONE more)wink.png.

My urban farm animals(the list keeps growing): two Jack Russells (Batman and Peanut), a Dalmatian (Ty), a White Easter Egger (Luna), a Buff Orpington (Ginger), a Blue Wyandotte (Hazy), a Java (Dottie), an Easter Egger (Ana), a Backyard Special (Weeble), a Cuckoo Maran (Coco), a Buff Brahma (Queenie), a Partridge Rock (Shirley), a French Angora rabbit (Benjamin Bunny), and two Pygora goats...

Got 3 more trusses built. That makes 4. If I get the remaining 3 done this afternoon, I will fasten them in place on Saturday.

Minchi, I have a SLC (cochin) if that helps smile.png

I wish you the best of luck with the trusses swmith! It's supposed to be not too hot this weekend with some RAIN hopefully!

I do think I'm going to the fair this weekend if anyone wants a ride out there. The girls need some food so it's a good reason to drive out to there to the feed store too.

Do you know if that green blue shimmer of the feathers is a definite sign of a male?  Just in the past day my SLW has started to show it, but everything else points to female.  No Crowing, no Saddle feathers, her comb is so light that he ears are still white, and her tail looks like a pullets.   She is 10 Weeks old.

Do you have more than one? I have two that have looked totally opposite since day one. Ones coloring is much more pronounced than the others. Cherry is very black with just a bit of the silver, and rhino is very silver all over. They're five weeks and both supposed to be females, it's just odd. When do saddle feathers come in? I call Rhino a him, and hubby keeps telling me I'm jinxing it roll.png

Hmm... well if it does I'm in trouble! My girl is super iridescent in the sunlight and I'm pretty sure she's a pullet. The woman I got her from said that iridescence indicates good breeding. This is her at almost four months (you can just barely make out some of the sheen in the inside lighting):
