Let's wait until next time. I have to be at the court house at 1:30 to deal with an expired insurance ticket that I forgot to deal with on time, and Obama is going to be screwing up traffic in the Springs all afternoon. If it were a normal day I could plan around things, but Obama's travel severely screwed my day today. I spent all day today dealing with the traffic he screwed up in Denver, I'm really not looking forward to it again tomorrow. The SECOND time I got screwed by the motorcade I was totally lost in Aurora, using my GPS to get around and it wanted me on the road they had shut down. So I pulled over and got to see the motorcade. Man is that impressive.
Mama to a whole bunch of birds. An unknown # of chicks, 10 EE, 1 RIR, 1 BR, 2 SLW, 3 silkies, 1 Cuckoo Maran, 2 blue cochin, 4 turkens, 2 doms, 6 barnyard babies, 4? black broiler sweeties I can't eat, and 3 embden geese. (36 chickens, 3 geese)

I just wanted to share a cute picture of my black broilers:
These two are two weeks old as of today. The little one is the runt. She's been growing well and eating like a pig. The big one, is the first obvious boy. I could see that red comb all the way across their big brooder. After I picked him up I saw the little wattles. D'awww, how cute!

Nice! I have some names for you...for the runt, it could be nugget, the other could be Kung Pao!

Crap. I forgot about that. That means I must get past Peterson early to make sure I don't get stuck in it.

Our freezer plan is in six weeks, but we'll base it most on their growth. I try to call them meaties as a whole and the Cornish Rocks are called Potatoes as a whole that way I don't get attached. There is another one, who is brown and not the same type at all, and it's already decided (unknown to my hubby) that I'm keeping. I call her Brownie. Which means I may keep Minnie (the runt) as well.
