Are there ever any poultry swaps or poultry auctions anywhere around Colorado?

I have read on here that there is a feed store in Greeley that has something on the 1st or 2nd Saturday of every month. Try searching on here for it....joe

There is one in Greeley.  They always list it on the Fort Collins/Northern Colorado Craigslist.  It's the first Saturday of the month, but that's all I can remember.

Greeley's like the other end of the world.  We need someone around the Springs to organize one.

Seriously! I have a friend who lives and Greeley and that is one heck of a drive from Security. Plus, if you want to get there faster you have to pay a toll!

Anyone have space to hold a swap? How much room would be needed? How do we get the word out?

I have a copy & print shop that is closed on the weekend, but it is kind of small...so I don't know if that will work. It does have a parking lot, so outdoors during nice weather is an option.

7 quacking ducks, 5 spazzy quail, 3 lazy cats, 2 grown sons, 1 goofy husband... and no partridge, but I have a pear tree!

Ooooooh, sounds like a party!!!  Anybody remember the ol' Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney movies where they all got together and had the big party in the ol' farmer's barn?  Well, I'd love to have it here but I've got no big ol' barn.  The whole thing would have to be outside which would be a bummer if the weather was bad.  What we need is someone with an indoor riding arena....and some knowledge about how these poultry swap/auctions are run.

I could check with the city of Fountain downtown events association. They hold a farmer's market every tuesday night. I think they start in May. If indoor space isn't available, that might be a viable alternative.

There is also some healthy eating organization that holds a Market on Saturdays in Fountain. They might be even easier to work with. I will make a few initial inquiries.
