Patience is not one of my better qualities... but it worked... we have a total of 35 eggs to hatch. So we will see what happens. I set aside 4 eggs (before lockdown) I didn't think they were going to hatch but 1 of them pipped last night around 7:15 p.m. so you never know what is going to happen!!!

I would go ahead and get some electrolytes and vitamins. I went to the feed store for my electrolytes (around $5. ) Directions said 1 oz/gallon so I sat down and did the math for a quart. Let me know if you need that info. I also bought PolyViSol infant vitamin drops WITHOUT iron at Walmart. (around $8) My first chick was born with wryneck and that is what we have been treating her with. Also put a droperful of the vitamins in the other chicks water just to be on the safe side.

I don't a huge flock so I'll be happy with a 40-50% hatch rate. I'll then have English Orphingtons and SLWs (but I'm buying pullets because they cost so much I want to see what I'm getting with them)

I just left the house to meet with a buyer and I'm so antsy to get back home. I hate leaving when chicks are close to hatching.
