Hello Everybody...New Member from LaMarque,TX

I got my first chicken every a few months ago and fell in love with her. Unfortunately we have had bad weather here and I had to go away for 2 days and when I returned she was gone. I have looked everywhere to no avail and I am broken hearted. I bought a replacement bantam today. Lulu is not as pretty as Henrietta but I know I will grow attached to her as well.

My blog is The Garden Cat Cottage if anyone is interested

I love cooking and gardening and all kinds of animals and craft fairs

my name is Kathy and I am happy to chat about anything.

Hi, welcome-byc.gif from California! I would get Lulu a friend as chickens don't do well alone.

I am hoping to enlarge my chicken family. The feedstore rarely has bantam hens so I was lucky to get the ones I have. I would like a rooster but I am already pushing the HOA limits. My main obejective is to have the hens more as pets and the little eggs are a bonus. I work with elderly and do some pet therapy with them , I bring my dogs, rabbit and hopefully my new hen for visits.

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
