Goat skillathon

Thread Starter

Skillathon is this Saturday and I have a problem. I am a beginner since this is my first year and I don't know what questions they will ask me. They always do the "interview" for the poultry( have done poultry for six years) and they ask specific questions but I don't have the paper with the questions. If any one knows what questions they might ask me please tell them to me.

One I know of is they ask you what the four stomach are called. The answers are the rumen, reticulum, omasum, and abomasum.

Our extention office has a practice packet for our kids to use. A lot of times you can find study guides online. Our skillathons ask questions on digestive, reproductive, and muscuolskeletal, as well as types of grasses, breeds, and types of goats. Good luck.!

I went down to the extension office tuesday and the lady in charge of the goats was taking it that day so not much time to practice. I did practice the poultry one a lot so this will probably be my fifth year of 100% poultry skillathon.

I got 100% on goat skillathon, fancy chicken, and market chicken skillathon. For the goats they asked me what colostrum was, what you are to wear, what a wether was, what is a female goat called, and I can't remember any more. The person that was asking the questions said most of the people didn't know what colostrum was.
