Really love chickens! Hi from Texas

Thread Starter

I'm new to this site and love it very much. Guess I'm not the only one who is attached to chickens! I have one very special one, Vanita, who visits my house almost daily and would cuddle in bed with you if you let her, lol. I do send her outside to be a chicken even though she'd rather be watching tv, I swear, really. All the other 50+ chickens are well loved and happy around here. They all are special in their own ways and are so interesting, drama and all.  Glad to be a part of BYC!

Hi and welcome-byc.gif

Glad to have you here!
Vanita sounds pretty cute. Our chickens don't dare to venture into the house, even if they are given the opportunity. lol.png

I hope you find all the info you need here, and enjoy the site. big_smile.png

Hello and welcome to BYC frow.gif House chickens are fun, but they make a mess! I had an injured hen inside for awhile and some nights I'd find her fast asleep on my bed. Too cute!

Howdy from San Antonio.  I love the name Vanita.  Old fashioned Southern names seem to fit chickens so well.  Is Vanita the only one personable enough to warrant a name?  I imagine it would be pretty hard to name 50+ chickens.
