Plenty of good news this time

It's been a while since I last posted on here and the last few times have been all bad news. I do still have a bit of bad news, but I know how to deal with it now (mites).

As of May 21 (or 22, I can't remember which) I have a job. I'm a dishwasher and I don't get paid much, but it's work and I'm happy it found me. It's hard and it sucks, but it gets easier every day and I can't really say I hate it all that much.

I was given the advice several months back to give myself time to heal after my almost 2 year relationship ended and I tried to be stubborn and not give myself any time. After months of 'down time' and a lot of not wanting to be around my friends that are in relationships, a great friend's boyfriend decided to take matters into his own hands and introduce me to 'Blu'. My friend's BF didn't even tell us what he was doing, he just got us in the same room and had us talking in minutes. A few days later I found myself talking to him for hours on the phone and we still haven't run out of things to talk about. I've been with him for a little over a month (it feels like it's been longer than that!). I now spend my weekends with him and I'm extremely happy with him. I'm hoping this relationship lasts a really long time.

I'm having mite issues in one of my coops, but thanks to a bunch of searching here on BYC I've found out how to get rid of them.

Last week I finally got a new puppy! Her name is Louka and she's a German Shepard/ Boxer mix. She is adorable. Due to past problems Louka will NOT be an outside dog. I refuse to go though the heartbreak of losing another dog the way I lost Cisco. She's settling in nicely and she leaves with me on the weekends.

I hope to be online more often than I have been in the last few months. I missed y'all!

I have a bit of bad news. I had to quit my job due to health reasons. I already had a bad back (I was forced to jump off my horse when I was 15. It was the ground or a sharp turn that would have put me in a barbwire fence after my horse was spooked) and moving heavy pans (huge 15lb boilers), heavy trash cans that took two people to move most of the time, and being on my feet so much (bad ankles that never really healed after I sprained them both in the same week when I was 15(before I messed up my back)) didn't help matters. My doctor told me that either I quit and found an easier job, or deal with painkillers and hurting myself worst. I had to take the first option as I hate taking any kind of medication. I'm on the look out for a new job, but it's not going so well. I have my hopes set high though. I don't need to get myself depressed and back in the situation I was in a few years ago.

Considering your physical issues have you check into any type of job training. Anything in computers or sit down work. We have a friend who has these sorts of issues. He does need a special chair and arm rests but with a little  low cost help he is able to work full time and the pay isn't bad. I think for him after 6 years or so he hit 60k. Not the best but not the worst either. It may not be the easiest to pull off but lots of programs around that help with it.
 

Thanks for the advise. I'll have to look into it and see what I can find.
