I don't have geese myself, but I'm asking on behalf of a friend. He's been trying (and failing) to hatch his geese eggs. He's asked people for advice regarding temperature and humidity and got so many different answers, he doesn't know what to do! So I figured since I got some excellent advice on this forum in the past, I'll ask here.

Can any of you, who have hatched goose eggs successfully, please tell me how you did it, what was your humidity, temperature, how often did you turn the eggs, when did you lockdown etc?

Suomi, read the sticky at the top of the goose area. Is a fantastic guide to hatching goose eggs. Have your friend join here so he can ask questions while the eggs are set if needed.

I did hours of reading before ever trying to hatch. We run only large scale cabinet incubators with humidity systems. All goose eggs lay on their sides, are in auto turners and are also hand turned once daily and misted and allowed to cool after day 5.

Geese seemed easier since we had already raised and hatched call ducks with high hatch rates.

Advice I would give someone new to hatching DON'T start with call ducks or geese. DONT buy the cheapest incubator you can find, you won't be happy. DO set the incubator and let it run for atleast 3/4 days to see how it reacts to your location and conditions.
