Breeder of nothing right now.Read our RE-Build of LES Farms Thread.

Lost everything in a barn fire 2/11/13. Can't even pull it together.

Thank you for all the condolences and all the support and donations given to help us rebuild. You are all so special to us.

Please READ my thread about FIRE SAFETY. Trying to save as many others from the little mistakes that cost me everything.

Tough one. It's lacking back feathers. I'd keep an eye to make sure saddle feathers do not grow in. I'm leaning towards cockerel, but this one is a little tricky to see by your photos. Side(where the wing is not hiding the back end) and comb shots would help.smile.png

A clearer pic would help confirm, but I agree at 19 weeks that is a hen getting ready to lay.

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!

That's a rooster.sad.png. I can clearly see the saddle feathers. He's beautiful though.

RIR's are one of my favorite breeds and eggs, I just picked up another RIR chick a few days ago.

Here's is my 1 year old hen
