Very cute! I had a little pekin, I named her Daisy, she looked just like the 'fatty'... I'd always call her by her name... until we found out we had to change it, Daisy was a Donald.

Nice photo's and video!  Lovely birds!

Nine beautiful Runners, four beautiful Buffs, thousands of beautiful memories and counting.

Looking for ducks?  Please consider adopting rescued ducks.  There are many places and people who do rescues, but we are not allowed to post the links due to BYC regs.  So fire up your web browsers and find some sweet, grateful duckies.

They are so cute!  I'm thinking about getting a muscovy but am worried if it will be friendly- however, many say they are nice if you raise them and teach them to be nice.

What is the hardiest chicken?  Recent times have shown I'm not allowed to have a fourth chicken easily- 2 have died.

The one we have is Super nice to people and will even walk up to you and sometimes nip you for attention, the kid who brought her to our pond must have spent ALOT of time with her and that was about 3 years ago and he came dow the other day to seeher, He was surprised to see that we still hd her... and that shes the reason I now have so many ducks LOL

Muscovies were my first duck, I spent every morning and arvo with them, at first, they were really scared of me, but after about 2 days, the make a sort of purring sound and wiggle their tail and will come up to see you.

They also lay quite large eggs, about the size of a large chicken egg, apparently they can get twice as big as an average chook egg... at around 7 months old they start laying.

If you decide on scovies, you should raise 2 ducklings, this way, they will bond to the other ducklings aswell as you and wont be completly obsessed with you, of you only get 1, the duck may become possesive of you, the more ducklings you get, the more they will bond with the others and get used to being part of a large group aswell as bonding with you. I would certainly recommend 2 ducklings.

They are also not very noisey, I have not heard any of my girls quack, they mainly purr.

You should find that the more time you spend with your babies, the more they will love you back.

Ducks are great!
